Himalayan pink salt is harvested by hand and stone ground from ancient sea salt deposits in the Himalayan mountains. This salt was first crystallized during the Jurassic Era over 200 million years ago. No chemicals are used in its processing and no preservatives or anti-caking agents are added to the product. The minerals present in the salt, not only give it its beautiful pink color, but also prevent the salt from caking.
